GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Board intends to provide the Housing schemes for socially and economicaly weaker section of society i.e. Below Poverty Line (BPL), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG), Medium Income Group (MIG) and High Income Group (HIG). Since inception i.e. 1971 the Board has constructed 95,969 houses of different categories out of which 75% (72,044) have been constructed for BPL/EWS/LIG category.

               During the last 5 years i.e. 2014 to 2015, 20207 houses have been completed out of which 93% are in BPL/EWS categories. Almost 6308 houses have been constructed in the last year itself i.e. 2019. The criteria for eligibility in the BPL/EWS/LIG/MIG and HIG kindly see the Act/Gazette notification on the website itself.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
A tenement may be allotted to the person of the prescribed category subject to the condition.

E.W.S. and L.I.G. Categories

  1. That he is resident of Haryana or is a person who is working in Haryana for at least six months on the date of application or is an employee of Haryana Government of Central Government. Municipal Corporation of Faridabad, any Board, Corporate Body working under the control of Haryana Government of the Government of India or an Ex-serviceman or a retired Haryana Government Servant.
  2. That the applicant should not own a house in Haryana, Delhi or Chandigarh either in his/her name or in the name of his/her wife/husband or in the name of his/her dependent relatives including unmarried minor children. However, applicant owning ancestral house in a village or a share in urban or rural property is eligible to apply.
    M.I.G. and H.I.G. Categories:
  3. The applicants of reserve categories namely Scheduled Castes, Handicapped, Blind Persons, Backward Classes, Freedom Fighters, Disabled Serviceman, War Widows and Widows should be domicile of Haryana.
  4. The applicants for which reservation is provided under Regulation 7 should not own a house in Haryana in his/her name or spouse's name or in the name of any dependent family members.

For all Categories:

  1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. The applicant must have attained the age of majority at the time of registration.
  3. An eligible person, his or her spouse, or any of his/her dependent member cannot submit more than one application under the scheme.
  4. The applicant, his/her wife/husband or dependent relatives who were earlier allotted House/Flat by the Housing Board and has transferred the same to some other person under the transfer policy of the Board is not entitled to get his name registered for five years from the date of transfer.
  5. Income group for eligibility will be as under:-

  • Family income includes income of applicant, his/her spouse, unmarried minor children and dependent relatives.
  • Salary income includes besides other items, Basic Pay, D.A., A.D.A., H.R.A. (in excess of 10% of basic pay), C.C.A., other allowances, special Pay, Interim Relief, Overtime allowance and fee, Commission, pre-requisites, Profit in lieu of or in addition to any salary or wages etc.

RESERVATION

The Housing Board Haryana makes reservation of houses for following categories

The spill over applicants/flats shall go to the general pool. 33% Reservation of total flats/houses for solo/first women applicants.

*Reservation for SC's and BC's as notified for Haryana is available only to those who are domicile of Haryana and certificate should be got issued from the competent authority of Haryana.

MODE OF RECOVERY

Hire Purchase Scheme
Under this scheme, recovery is made as under:-

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. List of successful applicants is prepared by draw of lots, within six months of the closing date of registration.
  2. Applicants not successful in the draw are refunded the amount without interest.
  3. The allotment for specific houses is made by draw of lots out of successful applicants after the completion of houses.
  4. Applicant is not entitled to any interest on the amount of earnest money where Housing Board Haryana allots him/her a house or refund the amount within a period of two years from the closing date of registration. In other cases, interest as applicable in case of saving bank accounts of nationalized banks is allowed on the amount paid with the application at the time of registration for the period after the expiry of two years from the closing date of Registration to the date of allotment/refund whichever is earlier.
  5. 10% of the amount deposited with application at the time of registration shall be forfeited if the applicant withdraws his application till the date of offer of house by the Board. Balance, if any, will be refunded by the Board without interest
